On June 9, a team of specialized training class focused on international and professional capacity building for principals of Shandong state-owned enterprises visited Tongwei for inspection and exchange. The trainees from the training class first visited the Group Experience Center. This provided them with a preliminary understanding of Tongwei's history, which originated in aquaculture, expanded into agriculture and husbandry, and achieved a major leap forward in new energy. They expressed high recognition and affirmation of the achievements Tongwei has secured today in the fields of green energy and green agriculture.
During the seminar, Chairman Guo Yizhong stated that the nation is currently vigorously promoting the high-quality development of the marine economy. In 2025, Shandong's gross marine product reached RMB 1.9 trillion, firmly ranking second in the country. Furthermore, the province has already issued vital plans to build a leading hub for the modern marine economy. As a large-scale multinational group deeply engaged in the fields of green agriculture and green energy, Tongwei Group has become the only enterprise in the global PV and aquaculture industries to rank among the Fortune Global 500 for three consecutive years. Chairman Guo further introduced that in the agricultural and pastoral sector, Tongwei has constructed a full industrial chain spanning from fingerlings, feed, and aquaculture to food processing, with a heavy focus on industrialized recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) for shrimp farming. As China's per capita consumption of aquatic products continues to grow, it is estimated that within the next 3 to 5 years, the domestic consumption demand for whiteleg shrimp will reach 5 million to 6 million tons, presenting a market gap of approximately 2 million tons. Industrialized aquaculture is rapidly becoming the mainstream farming model due to its unique advantages, such as environmental stability and high yield per unit area, demonstrating a clear trend toward large-scale development. Currently, Tongwei has constructed the world's largest single-entity industrialized RAS base for shrimp farming in Shandong, forging a Tongwei shrimp industry cluster to assist in improving the quality, efficiency, transformation, and upgrading of aquaculture. Concurrently, the Company has also established a farming base on Seram Island in Indonesia. Shrimp cultivated using Tongwei's customized feed display exceptional quality, characterized by red legs, green backs, and red tails. Once cooked, they exhibit a bright red coloration, with a firm, bouncy meat texture, sweet flavor, and rich nutritional value, having secured multiple authoritative food safety certifications. Tongwei aims to construct the world's largest industrialized RAS for shrimp farming, covering diverse consumption scenarios. The Company has formed four core product lines and introduced a comprehensive product combination, capable of providing customized solutions targeted at differentiated demands such as household convenience and commercial catering. Currently, Tongwei has forged strategic cooperation with online and offline supermarkets and platforms, including East Buy.
The two sides also engaged in an in-depth discussion regarding future cooperation opportunities.
