Mr. Cai Kangqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dayi County Party Committee, and His Delegation Visit Tongwei for Seminars and Exchanges

On April 17, a delegation led by Mr. Cai Kangqiang, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Organization Department of the Dayi County Party Committee, visited Tongwei for inspection and exchange. Guo Yizhong, President of Agriculture and Husbandry of Tongwei Co., Ltd. and Chairman of TWAD, warmly received the guests and hosted the seminar. He Qibin, General Manager of Tongwei Fishery Technology Co., Ltd., Rao Yong, General Manager of Sichuan Fusion Link Technology Co., Ltd., and Li Lunjia, General Manager of Chengdu Tongwei Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., accompanied the delegation throughout the visit and attended the seminar.

The guests first visited the Group Experience Center. This provided them with a systematic understanding of Tongwei's development history and industrial achievements in advancing green energy and green agriculture in tandem.

Guests visiting the Group Experience Center

During the seminar, Mr. Cai Kangqiang, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Organization Department of the Dayi County Party Committee, stated that Tongwei features precise industrial focus and a clear development strategy. The Company has reached a superior level in both professional deep-cultivation and cross-sector integration. In recent years, Dayi County has focused heavily on rural revitalization. It has prioritized the development of three specialized industries: edible fungi cultivation, industrialized aquaculture, and the green plum industry. As one of the top 100 counties in Western China, Dayi hopes this visit will facilitate in-depth discussions and communication with Tongwei regarding facility-based fisheries and PV retrofitting projects. He noted that facility-based agriculture has a high demand for energy consumption, which creates a natural complementary advantage with the localized consumption of PV power generation. This can forge an integrated development pattern of "traditional agricultural upgrading + facility-based agriculture + PV." The cooperation can initiate from the smallest units and progressively drive the PV modification of facility agriculture, the construction of facility-based fishery demonstration bases, and the landing of primary, secondary, and tertiary industry integration projects. This will forge a modern agricultural model featuring green development, circular economy, and premium quality, setting a benchmark for scientific, intelligent, and facility-based agriculture.

Tongwei stands as a gold standard among agricultural and pastoral enterprises and serves as a flagship for private enterprises in Sichuan. It plays a prominent leading role in the synergy between facility agriculture and PV power. Dayi County will strengthen its exchanges with Tongwei, working together to inject fresh momentum into Sichuan's transition from a major agricultural province to a powerful agricultural province.

Mr. Cai introducing the cooperation matters

Chairman Guo introduced Tongwei's comprehensive industrial layout to the guests. Tongwei originated in aquaculture, expanded in agriculture and husbandry, and achieved a major leap forward in new energy. Since Chairman Liu Hanyuan of the Tongwei Group Board of Directors invented the technology of "fish farming with channelized metal mesh boxes in running water," it continuously refreshed the records for yield per unit of aquaculture area in Sichuan at that time. The technology was successively listed in the National Spark Program and Harvest Program, powerfully driving the iterative upgrade of aquaculture technology across the nation. In 2006, Tongwei entered the new energy sector and continued its deep cultivation. Today, its global market share of high-purity crystalline silicon firmly ranks first in the world. Its battery cell shipments have ranked first globally for many consecutive years, and its module shipments rank among the top five worldwide, with products covering over 70 countries and regions. In 2022, with the official establishment of Tongwei Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. (TWAD), the agricultural and pastoral sector entered a fast track of development, forming a full industrial chain that spans from fingerling breeding and feed production to aquaculture and food processing. Concurrently, Tongwei has continuously innovated, deeply cultivating industrialized recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) for shrimp farming, and pioneering the "integration of fishery and PV" farming model to drive green and sustainable industrial development. To date, Tongwei has been ranked among the "Fortune Global 500" for three consecutive years.

Chairman Guo pointed out that Tongwei's choice of industrialized RAS for shrimp farming highly coincides with Dayi County's direction of building green, circular, and premium agriculture. Sichuan is a major consumer of aquatic products, yet a gap remains in the localized resource supply. In the future, Tongwei will base its operations on the Chengdu Plain, planning its long-term development pathway on the premises of green development and premium quality.

Chairman Guo introducing Tongwei's industrial status

The attendees engaged in deep exchanges around topics such as investments in facility-based agriculture and regional industrial cooperation. Dayi County has long paid close attention to the development of facility-based farming and aligns with Tongwei's industrial development logic. Looking ahead, both sides hope to deepen cooperation through enhanced communication, jointly selecting cost-controllable, green, and high-quality development models to drive regional agricultural collaboration to a new height.
